Die Galerie Monica Ruppert zeigt vom 9. Mai bis 12. Juni 2026 die Gruppenausstellung SPACES AND TRACES mit Arbeiten von Eilike Schlenkhoff, Lara Kaiser und Paula Knaps Loos.

Lara Kaiser befasst sich in ihrer Malerei mit Raumsituationen des Alltags – Vorhänge, Fenster, Gänge, das Atelier selbst. Zwischen Figuration und Abstraktion, zwischen Fläche und Zeichnung führt sie einen malerischen Diskurs über das Entstehen und Wahrnehmen von Bildern, der stets auf die Bedingungen des Mediums selbst zurückverweist.

Eilike Schlenkhoffs Malerei bewegt sich zwischen Abstraktion und Figuration, zwischen Farbfeldmalerei und illusionistischer Raumdarstellung. Pinselstriche und Farbflecke behaupten sich im Bildraum mit sichtbarer Lust am Experiment. Ihr Werk lotet kontinuierlich die Grenzen des Mediums aus und bringt dabei immer wieder neue malerische Sensationen hervor.

Paula Knaps Loos arbeitet mit Collage als Vermittlerin zwischen Fotografie, Zeichnung und dekorativen Formen. Ihre Bildwelten verbinden Ornamentik, Familienalben, Erinnerungen und Textfragmente zu vielschichtigen Kompositionen. Dabei spannt sie einen Bogen zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart und erkundet ihr Material auf wechselnden Trägern wie Messing, Aluminium, Beton und Papier.

Die Eröffnung findet am 8. Mai 2026 statt.

The Galerie Monica Ruppert presents the group exhibition SPACES AND TRACES, featuring works by Eilike Schlenkhoff, Lara Kaiser, and Paula Knaps Loos, on view from 9 May to 12 June 2026.

Lara Kaiser's paintings engage with everyday spatial situations – curtains, windows, corridors, the studio itself. Moving between figuration and abstraction, between surface and drawing, she pursues a painterly discourse about the emergence and perception of images, one that continually refers back to the conditions of the medium itself.

Eilike Schlenkhoff's painting moves between abstraction and figuration, between colour field painting and illusionistic spatial representation. Brushstrokes and patches of colour assert themselves within the picture plane with a visible pleasure in experimentation. Her work continuously probes the boundaries of the medium, producing new painterly sensations in the process.

Paula Knaps Loos works with collage as a mediator between photography, drawing, and decorative forms. Her pictorial worlds bring together ornamentation, family albums, memories, and text fragments into layered compositions. In doing so, she draws a thread between past and present, exploring her material across shifting supports such as brass, aluminium, concrete, and paper.

The opening takes place on 8 May 2026.
